1. Sony Music Entertainment
2. EMI
3. Warner Music Group
4. Universal Music Group

What is a music industry “The music industry (or music business) sells compositions, recordings and performances of music. Among the many individuals and organizations that operate within the industry are the musicians who compose and perform the music; the companies and professionals who create and sell recorded music (e.g., music publishers, producers, studios, engineers, record labels, retail and online music stores, performance rights organisations); those that present live music performances (booking agents, promoters, music venues, road crew); professionals who assist musicians with their careers (talent managers, business managers, entertainment lawyers); those who broadcast music (satellite and broadcast radio); journalists; educators; musical instrument. manufacturers; as well as many others.in the music industry a record label is a brand of which is accosiated with the marketing of music recording and videos. many industry try and distributed their music though big names and unique videos and songs these are the products of which the music industry uses, but the music industry don’t have a specified genre of music they look at. exclusive recording contracts are what make the music industry’s different from one and other by signing a artist they can differ from the others though clever way of getting their artiest well known. music industry will use different types of music such as metal, rock, punk. garage etc techniques such as videos on music channel or radio stations are ways of allowing the public to hear the product.

A lot of the music industry use the internet in order to distribute their products  and transmit songs and albums across the world at no cost — and at no profit to content owners, such as music labels and recording artists. this is a positive for the music industry but there are negative sides to the internet though illegal downloads.

Their are six major film industries these are time Warner (Warner bro pictures), news corporation(20th century fox), Viacom( paramount pictures), Sony ( Colombia pictures), Disney and General Electric( universal studios). these major company’s have all produced products of film. Each company may produce a higher percentage of specific genre of film this is because they tend to be well known for that specific genre such as Disney and animation for film like toy story, Warner bro action films such as clash of the titans or even universal pictures comedy and action(effects), doing films such as American pie or Bruno this helps in making each film industry different from each other and makes them have bit of a unique market.

By doing specific genre this will draw in certain audiences Disney with it’s animation will be looking to be more based on children films due to this is who like the films the most, Warner bro with it’s action films will be looking at mainly the  male audience as they tend to be more drawn in to action films and finally universal pictures would be more young adult base with its humor/sexual based films.

Disney as always been known for it well used animation from such things as mickey mouse which is still a used character today give Disney the difference in other film industry this helps them targeting their specific audience of children.

universal pictures has been a well known industry for using it special effects as it’s unique selling point from using them in such as the mummy and scorpion king it offers their audience a good wow of how they make creatures in their films.
